                                               About
Steven Harris has spent most of his life writing in one form or another. As a musician he provided the voice and the songs for Dead Men Don't and Isis, and also performed solo up and down the country. In the summer of 2009 he engineered and recorded the 'So Pure' demos for Lou Gibbs.
After quitting the professional music industry Steven worked as a journalist; he currently writes book reviews and has served as fiction editor for Open Wide magazine. Journalism led to a decade at Exeter University, undertaking Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees in English.
In 2009 Steven Harris published his first book, a collection of academic essays entitled Flotsam & Jetsam. His second book followed in June of the same year, this time an anthology of short stories called And Other Stories. The title story was shortlisted for the 2009 Happenstance International Short Story competition. His work has also appeared in such publications as Juno, Reflections, Exepose, Albion to Arcadia, PiNBACK, The View From Here, Weekender, Somerset Gazette and Poetry Now.
